Why it caught our eye

We like a driving game where the interesting bit starts after the plan fails. Pick a line through the wilderness, bury a truck in a bog, then spend far too long figuring out how to get it back. Somehow, that’s the relaxing part.

Low gears, trees, portable anchors and planks give you several ways to negotiate with the mud. Up to three friends can share the consequences. Beyond the trail are cabins, fire towers and wildlife to photograph. Steam is due on 14 October; the announced console versions follow in 2027.
